The most outstanding properties of Silicone Tube are its flexibility and resistance to temperature extremes. These, plus its good electrical properties and ability to self- extinguish, make Silicone Tube an excellent choice for appliances and computers.Our Silicone Tubing is made from 100% silicone elastomer. It is environmentally friendly and unlike its plastic alternatives, releases no toxic fumes when disposed of by incineration.

Peroxide-cured Silicone Tube contains no sulphur or other acid-producing chemicals, thereby eliminating the possibility of staining, corroding, or deteriorating materials it contacts. It is extremely resistant to ozone and U.V. over long time periods.

Silicone Rubber Tube may be low pressure steam sterilized in-line or autoclaved at up to 250°F in a normal autoclaving cycle. However, if exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long- term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually relax and become gummy. It should then be replaced.

Properties of Silicone Tube Material:

Silicone Tube has excellent weathering properties and handles both hot and cold temperature extremes; resists ozone and oxygen attack. Able to resist extreme temperature variation: -40°C to 250°C.A long service life can be expected at 200°F to 400°F (93°C to 204°C).   Silicone Rubber Tube has poor resistance to oils, fuels, and hydrocarbons.  Fair performance when exposed to acids, alkalis and solvents.  Physical properties (tensile, abrasion, tear and cut growth) are fair. Because silicone is odorless and tasteless, it is ideal for certain surgical and food processing applications.
